Dear Student of the Horse,
As a horsewoman and educator, I have come to the realization that many horses don’t need new equipment, new training protocols, new feed or new solutions outside of better handling from their owner. This alone will transfer into every other interaction that you have together.
It can be a tough pill to swallow - it’s not just you, it’s me, it’s all of us - most people don’t know what they want, leaving their horses bombarded with confusing and overwhelming messages, they are frustrated, pushed and pulled at the same time, and struggling. They tune us out, they pin their ears, bite, kick, go dormant inside - they are begging us to wake up.
I believe that every interaction, regardless of its size, is an opportunity to connect, understand, and grow with your horse.
Truly understanding the interconnectivity of these interactions and how they transfer from one to another is a huge piece that I believe that most horse owners are missing.
This missing link paired with the stark loneliness that can come along with pursuing a connected relationship with your horse without a professional or group of peers who hold similar horsemanship values as you can become disheartening and leave you feeling stuck and alone.
This is why I have created this Community.
To provide you and your horse the exact resources that you need to fill in the missing gaps in your horsemanship and the opportunity to connect with and learn alongside a supportive group of like-minded horsewomen and men who are on a similar journey. You don't have to guess your way through this.
It's time to take ownership of how your interactions are connected and affecting your horse. They deserve it, and you deserve it too- you’ll feel much better.

But Amy Skinner’s guidance has made me better. She brings a deep understanding of classical equine principles.
